Last year's pilgrimage to see Andrea Bocelli perform in his home town of Lajatico, in Italy's Tuscany region was to say the least, inspiring for Sue and me and our international traveling partners, Sal and Marilyn. Over the years we have flown, cruised, bused, boated, walked and ziplined to destinations domestic and abroad however adding Bocelli's music to this Italian adventure made all others pale in comparison. When we realized that 2010 would be Andrea's final concert in this awe inspiring outdoor venue, we felt we had to share with as many people as possible and decided to put together this once in a lifetime European dream vacation.
First, instead of booking one of the massive ships we've sailed on in the past, we decided to go with something much more intimate and far less intrusive to the ports of call we'll be visiting. We settled on Oceana's Nautica, a 684 passenger five star luxury liner designed to impress even the most discriminating tastes. For detailed information on the Nautica and it's amenities visit
Oceania Cruise Lines Nautica.
Now for our itinerary. Our adventure begins in exciting Barcelona, Spain where embarkation aboard the Nautica starts at 1:00 PM and the party literally gets started. We've all day to meet and greet and enjoy the ships amenitites before departing Barcelona at 10:00 PM. We awake each morning of our fourteen day voyage in a new port with the following schedule:

2. We will be arranging transportation from Venice to Tuscany most likely via first class highspeed rail and will post those costs soon.
3. We are currently researching group accomodations in Tuscany and will post those costs as they become available.
4. The current plan is to spend a couple of days touring in Tuscany following the concert however at this point we have not settled on an official return home date. Return air will most likely be from Florence or Pisa.
5. It is our intent to create an exciting, affordable once in a lifetime vacation by using group purchasing power, however please feel free to book your own transfers and accomodations if you prefer.
6. We usually have a party or two just for our group and we are planning some extras which will be announced at a later date.
7. Chris, Sue, Sal and Marilyn have made several journies to Europe and are relatively comfortable with travel abroad. While serving in the Air Force, Chris spent two years in Germany while Sal was born and raised in Italy and of course speaks fluent Italian as well as Spanish.
